peter started the topic Can you make money as a blogger? in the forum Tea Conversations 11 years, 5 months ago
In my travels across the WordPress community this week (Tea Trade is powered by WordPress, so I work hard to stay current) I came across a blog post about how a blogger and his team turned a new WordPress news blog into a machine turning $3,000 month in income to their company. One of the fascinating things about it, is that they went from no…[Read more]

@chbenchen – yes, I agree – it is certainly a wonderful compliment to the whole system and pulls it all together in a rather unconventional way. I’ve read the Neal Stephenson, who is one of the founding visionaries for Long Now, is something of a tea fan himself. In fact, some of his novels have detailed descriptions of the characters enjoying tea…[Read more]

I’ve been a fan of the Long Now Foundation for several years now. I discovered it after reading Neal Stephenson’s epic novel Anathem. Long Now is about long term thinking. The foundation inspires debate and conversation to get as much long term thinking as we can into manufacturing, government, business, art, literature and pretty much every other…[Read more]

This officially qualifies as an epic post!
Thank you for writing this Rachel, this is certainly a great primer on how to handle a conference of that scale. I’m also looking forward to your followup posts, great job!

Gary’s post was a nice write up about the roundtable. A lot congratulations and thanks goes to @jopj who initially conceived of the idea and worked so hard to make it happen!

@thedevotea @lazyliteratus @iheartteas @jopj @joysteaspoon – What topics were discussed and did the audience get a chance to ask questions? If so what questions?
I’d love to hear a full report of the panel and the discussion. Do you know if it was recorded on video at all?
Since Tea Trade is neck deep in tea blogging, I’m wondering what…[Read more]

@chbenchen That Bkon device is interesting. I like how they call vacuum brewing negative atmospheric pressure in their marking materials. I recognize the application of technology, but I wonder how far different (other than a mechanized process) it is from a traditional vacuum brewer. I’ve certainly thought about buying to brew my tea just to…[Read more]

Also, if there is anything that I can do to help on the technology and communications side, just let me know. At sound point, it sounds like a website is in order, but maybe also an online collaborative communications space as well. This certainly sounds like the start of something great.

Nice! I let out a little sigh though, because I want to be there. All that fun and excitement of everyone getting together. Sounds like great fun.
I hope someone posts a little bit about Roberts reading and get together there.

I created a new forum area just for news from the World Tea Expo. I hope that all you attendees will post your littler things to it that don’t warrant a blog post! This is, of course for @thedevotea, @iheartteas, @jopj, @lazyliteratus and any others who I forgot to mention!

I think we can actually do better than that. There is so much information that can come out of the Expo that it would be hard to follow and discuss in a single thread. Â So, I’ve created a new dedicated forum for the topic where all Expo related posts, promotions, discussions and chatter can go.
Hopefully we can get it promoted and get some…[Read more]
