Hey there, this Promotions Page is for Tea Traders to point to specials and promotions going on in the tea world. If you enjoy being an active member of our community, that’s great, however anything else would be considered spam. Thanks,
      J.

Hi, all blog posts that you see here in our feed are indeed hosted by Tea Trade, even though their blogs have their own domain names. So, that is why Lazy’s and Sororiteasisters’ posts and comments are in our stream. They have been with us for years.
You can certainly keep your domain name, as long as it is hosted on Tea Trade. We don’t permit mapping to an external website simply because we are trying to promote our Tea Trade bloggers. Tea Trade is a network of tea sites, all hosted on and part of Tea Trade itself, this is why the new blog posts show up in our activity stream. Everything is connected here, even if you had the domain mapping linking out to your external site, your blog posts wouldn’t automatically show up here.

However, we warmly welcome new bloggers here and you can certainly have your own (non Tea Trade branded) domain name. If you are interesting in being part of the Tea Trade blogs, we can certainly help you migrate your existing website onto Tea Trade and help you get domain name setup to work with Tea Trade. You wouldn’t lose anything but would gain by having your site as part of the longest running and largest network of tea bloggers on the internet.

      Thanks,
      Jackie & Pete

Yes, I am sure people would be interested but it all depends on the shipping charges. How much are tea lovers willing to pay for the freshness? Do you already have an idea about what kind of charges customers would be looking at?

Hi @buddhamomtea – Joining in to welcome you to Tea Trade. We trade plenty of tea stories and adventures here, so are looking forward to hearing more from you when you get a chance. Glad to have you around our tea table!

I love old tea chests. Wouldn’t mind one or two in our home. So, are you going to Kerala again on your world-tea-plantations trip @twpaul or are you leaving it out because you’ve already been there?

I”m not sure I agree with Nigel Melican about his dimension comments. Actually I am sure they wouldn’t matter to me much, although I can see why they would matter to him. I would probably just go by what I like to look at and what feels good to touch.

@xavier Brilliant. Wish we had several of those around here. Sadly it looks like they currently have no plans of implementing similar tea vans in the rest of the world.

First issue is sorted @supermoon10 – it is a quick fix: Dashboard: Settings – Permalinks – (Click) Save. That’s it. I don’t know why but it fixes it immediately.
Second issue is something @peter is going to need to fix in the database.

I really wish I knew how to fix that @supermoon10 – Pete worked on Alex’s after he got home from work last night but he didn’t have time to explain what he did. He’ll look at yours as soon as he can but I know it won’t be until this evening.
@cazort – the best way to be in touch is on here, or email as Pete never looks at twitter. I do but when I do it means more time delay as I still have to pass on the message to him.

Hi and welcome @thelastdodo – Thanks for your input, I took a look at the Boulder link, looks like a nice place. Would love to visit Colorado some time. @peter and I are on the East Coast.
If you like you can always add those two places to Tea Planet. We built that site some time ago but tend to forget about it until another new listing is added by someone. Just a lot of other things going on, besides good ol’ Tea Trade. Which we’re still very fond of, mainly because of the people we have known on here for a long time.

      @xavier
      – you must take us there one day…Miss Paris.
As to favorite tea places? Not sure I can think of one or two that stand out. There are so many good places I can think of in Europe but here in our city there are only a couple of places and neither one of them ranks on my list. My favorite kind of tea cafe would sell cakes and pastries along with loose leaf tea. And the decor would be striking and comfortable with not an inch of chintz in sight. Luckily we have a great bunch of tea bloggers here who report on their latest tea finds for us to enjoy along with them.

I like the idea of sorting teas by country of origin as this shop does. I guess it means they sell only single origin tea. No Assam mixed with Ceylon and such. Anyway, looks “ueber cool” – very trendy indeed. I hope the light that floods into it doesn’t affect the tea. As long as it’s not in glass jars – don’t see any – I guess it’ll be fine. Nice find @xavier

Brilliant find @xavier once again! How do you discover these things? For anyone who doesn’t read French just have your browser translate it. A wonderful subway map for tea drinkers!

I think that’s a good idea, same as Darjeeling and Ceylon tea did.

It is sad that it is necessary to take such precautions but better to be cautious and safe.
How come a coffee retailer stepped in, and not a tea seller? Free cups of tea would go down a treat. Wimbledon tickets are expensive enough as it is.

I would like to have seen some pics of what tea in this garage looks like. I’m not sure you’d want to sip tea in my garage, no matter how good, ha ha. Anyway, a novel concept and no doubt a lot cheaper than renting a tea room.

Seems like nobody saw this, well at least I didn’t. Not sure if anyone here would know of places. I’ll put out the word, see if someone comes up with something.
