What’s new with everyone? We’re happy @xavier is back from his vacation. Thanks for the postcard! Enjoying our summer here, just relaxing. Less relaxing is waiting for the arrival of new teas today and tomorrow. Come soon and save us from mediocre leaves!

I confess, I had several teabags today. Judge me as you may but the good stuff is coming early next week.

I’m a big fan of their razor vid, but the – err – digestive waste products one is less to my liking. A little too crass. Did they really have to show us that sort of sand sculpture thingy with the bits and pieces? […]

Remember Builder’s Tea? You do if you live in the UK. You probably do if you’re in the “tea drinking scene” over here. It’s that milky, sugary tea drink that no British construction worker can build a thing without. Except that “no” construction worker no longer holds true. Around 44% of builders are now turning to coffee and their frothy lattes…[Read more]

Love Nepalese teas. The internet situation must have been a real pain. Let’s hope it continues to work, at least at the level of “well-ish-ness”

Just ordered tea from Adagio and tea from Rachel the other day too. Looking forward to some good morning-dessert tea. Because that’s when I like my tea a little sweet. In the mornings. Without added sugar though.

@riccaicedo – Thanks for sharing the article. I only actually knew one of the ones that were talked about. So while they’re making lots of “impressions” they hadn’t impressed me (yet.)
@jopj posted an interesting article on this subject on G+. Worth a read, money we can only dream of. -

A science/tea article that @iheartteas mentioned on twitter. Something that @bram might enjoy reading. And @xavier perhaps but he’s probably lapping up the sun on some tropical island at the moment.

@riccaicedo Strangely enough the article seems to say that bagged tea isn’t all that bad after all. Me, I just don’t like their taste.

I’ve heard of it but have never been there. It looks quite picturesque in the images I saw. Wonder what their tea culture is. Heavy black teas? Looking forward to your pics.

Had enough fun in the sun? Why not spend some time making this little acorn fairy tea set. For all the little rescued tea fairies @thedevotea is advocating for. Only thing is, I don’t think we have an abundance of acorns right now. Still, it’s cute.

Interesting article about the environmental impact of teabags, tea waste, tea gardens, overflowing kettles, and over-scooping your tea.
Worth a read. I found the forest clearing thought provoking, although I can’t see that being an issue in every tea growing country. One point I find hard to believe: That “a traditional square tea bag, on the…[Read more] -

Every time you buy bagged tea a loose leaf tea fairy dies? That sounds terribly, horribly tragic.
