@xavier For the record I’m not a zodiac believer but..if I were I’d say you’ve got to be stubborn and strong too. You’re a leo, right?
Blimey are there any really sweet n’ harmless Tea Traders at all? -
Jackie replied to the topic Why Do You Drink Tea? in the forum Tea Conversations 11 years, 7 months ago
@xavier just for the sake of drinking something? Then you could just drink water? @johndelaney I drink tea because of the taste foremost but it is closely intertwined with tradition and family connections. By that I mean that I grew up drinking tea, as we were loose leaf tea drinkers in our household. A long time ago family members owned a tea…[Read more]

@alexkmbk – With a Darjeeling a 2013 tea would already be available, so that might be interesting to you too. Like @xavier said; many tea companies do not list the year of their teas, which I’m not happy about either. I’m always wary of tea promotions for that reason. Can’t help thinking they’re simply trying to sell off older tea quickly. There…[Read more]

@xavier – this is a brilliant find – it’s great you shared it. I’m still reading through the document, but it’s fascinating. @thedevotea, have you read this? It’s definitely a subject you’ve always been concerned with too. @bram @cazort you immediately spring to mind too.

Really interesting post @supermoon10, this is the sort of book that makes me think of @bram @xavier and @jopj immediately, since they all have interesting collections of tea books too, and have blogged about […]

I was just thinking the same as @xavier, we should collect all your various travel posts and print them out to have for when we go on trips. Love reading about your adventures in tea places I’ve heard about, but […]

Seems absurd the French would try and trademark this name. What do you think @xavier?

Compagnie de Trucy is an investment firm and they say they are willing to create a “luxury” brand around rooibos (http://www.jeuneafrique.com/actu/20130307T210023Z20130307T210018Z/).
Burke International tried to do the same in the US in 1994 and lost.Unless they really try to do that (and trademaking a generic name all around the place is silly…[Read more]

@xavier, gosh minerals…I never think about that. All our drinking water is filtered, we have an inbuilt system for that. I’ve heard Europeans say that the tea never tastes the same in America, but I don’t know […]

@xavier, I don’t know but I think it’s true; it rained and that can drive market prices up. However, how much it drives prices up, that I don’t know. I also don’t know how much the re-seller then adds on as […]

@xavier lack of rain has got to be true, because that sort of thing is easily confirmed on the web. I guess less tea drives up price.

@thedevotea @xavier Well, they actually pride themselves on their barista training, and won Retailer of the Year in that city. Hopefully it’s just this one person. But one terrible server like her is enough to […]

@xavier No idea why it says that. It is in the correct board, and there is no “Tea in Pakistan” board, so that’s odd. I did write it from the backend this time, not here in the front, maybe that has something to […]

@xavier Did you say the Breville model we have here wasn’t available in France but there is a French equivalent one, that you bought? I can’t remember what you wrote about your Breville? Was it marketed by a different brand?

@thedevotea just because you gave him money doesn’t mean you can silence the man 😛
I think this little device is going to be very popular. Happy for @boco and team. @xavier hope that answered your main question. -
