Robert Godden replied to the topic Pre-release of new black(!) Zealong tea exclusively for Tea Trade members in the forum Tea Promotions 12 years, 9 months ago
I must admit I’ve never tried a Zealong. There’s so many oolongs to work through in China. And the official list of black tea suppliers in China is over 33,000.
So, I should get to the NZ stuff by the time I get […] -

Oh sure. add a bit of madness and the opportunity to tell lies, and I’m sure to join in, right?
Highly offended at the suggestion.

Robert Godden replied to the topic How to start a tea company…perhaps not… in the forum Tea Conversations 12 years, 9 months ago
Is $6 per pound realistic? I guess it must be.
I liked the idea of a moving flavour. I think that would require also shifting packaging. Wine is able to be sold with 2005-2006-2007 next to each other so why not tea? -

I’ve heard good things about this move. I think it looks to be a wonderful opportunity.

That’s from the same blog where I said something HILARIOUS about coffee drinkers, but I guess that doesn’t qualify.
There’s a few modern ones that I’ve seen floating about via @godsoftea. I think my favourite is […] -
Robert Godden replied to the topic tea tasting terms in the forum Tea Conversations 12 years, 9 months ago
This was the very discussion on the tea salon a few days ago.
There is an ISO document that sets out the terms you “should” use. The general consensus was that at over $100 for 4-6 pages, the ISO could stick it, […] -

Robert Godden replied to the topic Bringing tea to the masses: A video in the forum Tea Conversations 12 years, 9 months ago
Mixed emotions there.
I have some hygiene concerns about dancing on a cake trolley.
But I would support all of this if it meant a nice cup of tea. Sadly, the teabags at the end have plunged me into a deep sadness. -

It is the one part of Tea Trade I neglect. I think there are just too many opportunities to say stuff on here!

He is Australian, after all. Simon Baker, not whoever he plays in that show. I can’t watch it partly because of his accent. But it appears this clip may change my viewing habits. 😛

Robert Godden replied to the topic The UK Tea Council chairman on Indian Tea in the forum Tea Conversations 12 years, 12 months ago
I am a self-declared lover of Indian teas above all others.Part of the problem is they taste too good, too indulgent. A thin, grassy contemptible Japanese tea tastes like it must be good for you – or else why […]

Robert Godden started the topic Seven Teas in the forum Tea Conversations 13 years, 2 months ago
As part of a writing project, I’d like people to nominate their seven most interesting teas. If you had to pout together a tea sampler to offer variety, interest and experience, what would be in it? They must be […]

Robert Godden replied to the topic ”You’re so dirty my darling tea” in the forum Tea Conversations 13 years, 6 months ago
We used to have customers who were horrified that our retail staff did not wear lab coats, hair nets and sterile gloves when scooping tea out of the jars.
We suggested adding boiling water to the leaves at some […]
