Interesting interview with Howard Schultz. He says tea is twice the market globally that coffee is and that they are positioning to do some really great things with the Teavana brand.

@xavier – You can certainly continue to write in your Word Processor, and even use it to add formatting to your posts. It just has to be added into WordPress the right way. Watch the short video tutorial called <a href="http://teaconomics.teatra.de/wp-admin/admin.php?page=video-tuts&vid=paste-from-word" […]

@thedevotea – don’t you mean that if you left out the distractions – your blog posts would be twice the length. Stop staring at cat videos while writing! :0

@bram – When viewing the post editor in text mode, there is a button called “Fullscreen” which activates the distraction-free mode. However, if you were referring to the toolbar while in text mode, that is […]

@Riccaicedo – I forgot all about this thread…
One of the bloggers around here that sets a great standard for great blogging is Sororiteasisters.com. It is run by @liberteas, but what makes it great her blogging habits. After years of blogging, she still does right and according to our statistics, it gets more visits that any part of Tea Trade.…[Read more]

Looking forward to this burst of creativity!
Don’t forget, you can always schedule your posts. You can write them ahead of time and schedule them to be published on a later date/time.

@xavier Are you writing your posts in WordPress or in Microsoft Word (or some other word processor). The stuff you are seeing is html and css code. When you write posts in a word processor and then use cut and paste to put them in, all that stuff comes with it if you don’t do it a certain way.
Take a look at this post of yours in the backend…[Read more]

I’ve been somewhat absent around here lately. I’ve been working on a few other projects that are quite large (not for money, but to teach myself more about web design and development). Anyhow, Tea Trade is well overdue for a refresh.
One of the things that has bugged me for a while is that Tea Trade is not mobile-phone friendly. As most of you…[Read more]

A nice article with great pics about how to do tea from the folks at Houzz. Really makes you long for a luxurious cuppa.

I finally got my computer back today, after a month in repair. Warranties not always worth it. Should have just paid a local to fix my computer instead of sending it off to the manufacturer. First thing to do was to erase Microsoft Windows…
Anyhow, its good to know that I’m back up and running now. I’ll be getting caught up on my list of things…[Read more]

Shame, I added a comment to that blog post last week but it never posted. Looks like it never made it out of moderation…
Makes me think that T-Ching is not interested in critical or thoughtful commentary.

Hmph, the writer of the article presents it like tea is a surprise in Germany. Not really, the Germans have been doing tea for a long time, and doing it well too. It seems to me, that the writer probably just wan’t paying attention very well during her last trip.
It had been six years since our last visit to Germany. During that last trip,…[Read more]

Whenever you write, I always come to the conclusion that tea is definitely a man’s drink. How many drinks actually get described as being Like a massage by a grizzly bear?
Leaf-swirling men everywhere rejoice.

That goes to show how little we all know about picking tea. What did they use the older leaves you picked for? (or did they laugh at you and call you a knucklehead – or whatever constitutes a friendly Canadian […]

I spilled a cup of tea into the keyboard of my laptop computer and now the keyboard is bust and am now sending the thing off for repairs. I won’t be online much over the next two weeks until I get it back, in the meantime I’m using a much older (and slower) computer that I share with the family.
-
Repeat after me: “you know you are tea addicted when you try to turn your computer to the leaf side”.
-
I spilled tea on a keyboard once. It took a while to dry, but everything was okay.
However it was the time when I still had some white powder in my tea. So a letter raised slowly after pressing it and appeared a lot of times on my screen. The next day it was hardened and the white bridge broke with use of a little bit of force.
And coincidence…[Read more]
