How lovely. Will Sara’s Tea Caddie get to see this? They’re not on twitter are they? Anyway, a real pleasure. And the tea too I’m sure.

Jackie started the topic Tea as holiday gift? in the forum Tea Conversations 11 years, 11 months ago
Is anyone on here thinking about giving teas to someone as a Christmas/holiday present? I’m just curious how many are considering buying tea for loved ones or friends. Perhaps you don’t know many other tea […]

Jackie commented on the post, I Sent Scented Sencha to Santa , on the site Lord Devotea's Tea Spouts 11 years, 11 months ago
The way I see it the difference between scented and flavored is related to smell and taste. A scent is a fragrance we can smell and a flavor is something we can taste. A tea is scented with Jasmine petals because […]

How nice. Not just the teashop but Paris! I suppose the shops will already be all decorated with Christmas lights and displays.
-
@jackie I don’t really know since I had one precise target before having to catch my night train to HH.
I went to the original Theodor teashop in the 16th arrondissement not “far” from the Eiffel Tower.
It is small but has a nice feeling with “old” mosaics on the top.
Before Theodor started there, it was a grocery and I have heard that it is a…[Read more]-
Hmmm, one of the tea-shops I missed last year. Sounds good.

It is but I only knew it because Guillaume Leleu told me about it and the blog La Théière Nomade spoke a bit about it.
But I think it is in the new book about tea in French.By the way @bram next time you go to Paris, PM me before.
If I am available, I might come (I am only 1h30 away from Paris by TGV).-
I’ll remember that. But I’m not much in Paris. Was there for 2 weeks last year and that was the first time in more than ten years. But I have a feeling that I want to go back to visit all those closed tea shops (it was August)…

What tea did you buy for yourself @xavier? Your visit sounded really nice. And now HH. Big change. J’avoue que je préfère Paris.

I won’t comment on that one.
For myself? SaĂŻgon but mostly because the tea cans were the old ones and were really nice (simple and adventurous).

Tony Gebely was offering a cool hashtag tea
(# tea) t-shirt but sadly it didn’t achieve the required minimum of pre-orders. -

Does this mean you will carry on writing your story? I’ve read about 10 pages so far and I liked!
The movie looks cool – will have to look into it more. Seems like an excellent choice for @teachange aka David’s event. -

Yesterday @peter and I were busy all day with house & holiday things, now I have quite a lot of catching up to do. I’ll be reading posts, updates, messages & looking at new products in Tea Traders’ stores. Also our new discussion site Tea Industry Q & A needs attention. Check it out and chime in, if you haven’t already.

@riccaicedo Yes, a pity – I just looked. Apparently only 8 out of a goal of 50 were reserved in the designated time frame.

I’m in post-Thanksgiving mood – a good one of course. Yesterday I made my own roast carrot soup, cranberry sauce, apple/cranberry/sausage stuffing, parsnip/sweet potato mash – and maple pie. We did have turkey but I can’t really say I made that from scratch. Green Ceylon tea as a “digestif” – was lovely.

@xavier that’s exactly what I meant. I wrote “bon” then suddenly hesitated because I pronounce it “bonne apres midi.” When I checked it said, both is okay in writing.

Oh dear, I score minus points on some things here – I confess to using gravy packets as a base. I don’t often use bread crumbs because I don’t like cooking with foods that soak up oil. However, when I do, I pick […]
