Does your Teavana tea taste different brewed at home than sampled in the store? I’ve never thought about that, mostly because I haven’t bought any tea I’ve sampled from them. I have purchased some of their tea, […]

Many of you will have already seen this, but I saw it this morning and thought I’d repost. It’s the world’s largest teapot building in the Museum of Tea Culture in Meitan County, China. 73.8 meters in height, on over 5,000 square meters, this unique museum in south west China looks pretty impressive.…[Read more]

You can give a lot of people tea with that pot. Especially if you use china cup size cups. But then again the do have a lot of people.
-
The pot is roughly half as width as its height. So r ~ h/4, h = 738 dm. so the volume is roughly (pi)rh ~ (pi)(h^2)/4 ~ 427545 liter. That is 21377277 cups of 20ml. And that is in one steep.
So to let the ~1.35 billion people have a drink they have to steep only 63 times.
And only 327 times to give the entire world population of ~7 billion a…[Read more]

I’m not entering the contest, but I love looking at all the answers. Fun question Rachel. As to why we’re still drinking and haven’t stopped? We’re alive and kicking, right? Best reason there is to go on sipping.

Hope everyone is having a good day, whether or not Valentine’s is your kind of thing. Who needs “silly” cards and flowers when you have Tea Trade, right @happygaiwan? I’m teasing the Mr Happy, saw an earlier tweet. Anyway, wishing you all a fine cup of tea, today and every day. Cheers!

I have a feeling that in @thedevotea‘s case, if Mrs D brewed up the stuff, things would err – go very badly indeed. Then again, this is completely impossible because pigs would fly and sip tea in air before this would ever happen.

I don’t think this tea company advertises like this nowadays…

Now you can get a white foot. (how does this expression translate to English properly?)
Not quite….what does it mean @bram?
How shall I describe it? Get on someones positive side. Earn a favour.
The history is that nobles did not have to pay to get into the city and did not have to wait before the gate. Nobles were the only ones who could afford a horse with a white foot. So it became a marker to pass. So to get a white foot is like getting a horse with a white foot…[Read more]
