@bram except that I wrote previously that prices are not always related to quality but also to expenses from the different shops.

@bram China didn’t trade but sent gifts and received tribute (among them the Tea and Horse road).
I found the part on this company quite interesting (but without any knowledge of Chinese, any researh will be quite limited). -

Triangular trade… And I am afraid you are right @thedevotea (not sure if it was only for tea that sugar was produced), for many people, it wasn’t a problem (heck Bartolomé de las Casas and his fights).

In Hamburg, Tee Gschwendner opened a new shop/salon and I can tell you that it is usually empty and really cosy (and for those that wonder, they have good teas and scones).
