Happy Thanksgiving! The “butter and herb roast turkey” is in the oven – let’s see how it turns out. Soon to turn my attention to cranberry sauce and various other delicacies.

you don’t mean the bon après-midi do you?
-
Yes and no.
I learned that both bon and bonne were right (or so it seems).-
@xavier that’s exactly what I meant. I wrote “bon” then suddenly hesitated because I pronounce it “bonne apres midi.” When I checked it said, both is okay in writing.
-
I never thought about it before you wrote it down.

I don’t feel anyone should be chastised for re-steeping their black tea, I just don’t like seconds. I enjoy black tea for its assertiveness and boldness and I add a drop of milk. Re-brewed black tea leaves are […]

I nearly missed this @bram. This is one incredible “bag lady.” 46,000 teabags is a massive collection. The pics are cool – wonder if there are collectors over here too. I must browse there more – I guess some of it will have historic significance too. Thanks for sharing. What a find!

No thanksgiving at this side of the world 🙂
Have not found any never fail recipes yet. -
Then I thank you. This “thing” is all about giving thanks, isn’t it?

Yes, but some would say that its about colonial repression of the Native Americans and colonialist attitudes…
But I like the part where the whole family gets together and celebrates by having a big, beautiful meal of traditional American foods. It also makes the start of the holiday season in America – once Thanksgiving comes, the whole rest of…[Read more]

Not to go off topic here too much @thedevotea but I believe that a shrimp and a prawn aren’t one and the same. Perhaps the differences were a touch too complex for you down under 😛

Do you sometimes wish that Big Face were your friend?
Do you wonder why you ever bought those flame throwers?
Do you […] -
