Getting a little confused by all the choices out there while I browse around for Yunnan tea. Each time I think “yes, those are my choices” I find another tea I also want.

This is part 1 of a very interesting article by @latteteadah seeking to demystify the Japanese Tea Ceremony. The ceremonial instructions she describes here belong to the Urasenke school of Chado. Didn’t know there were differences? Head on over to her post…

Simple brewing instructions are a good idea I think. I brew black tea from between 2.5 – 4 mins, full boil. Generally, I don’t like re-steeping black teas though. I don’t find they improve, they just weaken.

So pretty! I’m not a Matcha fan but I love the shape and look of these shortbread cookies. Must create something like this myself.

Another interesting post & another tea to try! I haven’t been a huge fan of Kenyan teas in the past since I’ve only had them CTC’d into my cup. Would be nice to try something a little different.

Tea from Cameroon! Another new tea for @lazyliteratus to try. Well not just for him. But according to @xavier he is the final frontier man. Either way, it looks like 85% Cameroon’s tea is distributed on the local market, so you’re not likely to find any nearby.

Yes, we went to an old Army fort (Fort Monroe) that the Army has finally abandoned after about 200 years. They moved out a couple weeks ago and left a lot history behind. It was good to see it before all the development takes hold — however, the president has recently declared it national monument and parts of it are to be turned over to the…[Read more]
