@supermoon10 @xavier @lazyliteratus @iheartteas @thedevotea I wanted to let you all know that I’ve finished migrating Tea Trade to a new server. I’ll be taking the old one offline next week. This message is being written on the site on the new server.
Everything generally went smoothly. All the sites are working. Geoff, there are problems with…[Read more]

And now “en francais” mon cher 😛
Really well done, love it, @xavier. I feel that @lahikmajoe feels exactly the same about his thermos, or at least he used to. I don’t know if he still travels with his all the […] -

I used ‘him’ to just wanted to personify tea, but could be ‘her’ also. I guess that’s personal as well, haha. @Xavier good point about referring to French. One good reason to support using ‘him’ 😉

I cannot answer your questions @xavier – I don’t know anything about this company or about the trading (political) system. But I am quite content for you to find out for me. All I need to do, is read your blog […]

@xavier Brilliant. Wish we had several of those around here. Sadly it looks like they currently have no plans of implementing similar tea vans in the rest of the world.

@xavier I’ll put up some better spam protection in the near future and I’m aware of the avatar situation. However, what do you mean when the stream part is not readable? Can you send me a screenshot?
-
@peter now it works.

@xavier – I got your messages about various things. Pinging you here so you can look into Gravatar as a solution until I figure out why it isn’t working here.

@liberteas, @xavier, @lazyliteratus I’m happy to report that I solved the problem! As usual, the fix was a simple one – sometimes it takes time to go through all the steps.
The downside is the damage done by the loss. All the pictures are gone, and there is no way to recover them. This blogs are intact and working properly, but you will need to…[Read more]

Thanks for the expedient update, Pete.

@peter I get it.
We are also facing the spam attacks on the blogs.
Also I can’t upload a proper account picture and the display of the stream part is not readable any longer.
I know you are doing your best Peter, I just wanted to point some problems.

Thank you for working so hard.
I just picked a theme and now my blog works again.
I do have a backup of all my photo’s and I wondered what would be the best way to put them back?
When I go to the edit media page I don’t seem to have to option to replace the file itself. It seems like I have to delete the old one and add a new one while copying…[Read more]-
The following plugin (or similar) might be useful for replacing lost images:

@bram that plugin is a nice find. From its download history, it looks like it is highly recommended. I’ve installed and activated it across all the blogs. Have a go with it and let me know how it works.
-
Thanks. I hope to find the time for it this weekend.
Have fun. -
I tried to use it, but can’t find the upload/replace or whatever button 🙁
Is it just me? -
@bram On the edit page for the post, click the broken image in the post. In small popup click the pencil button to edit the image. On the large popup you will see a button that says “Replace”.
-
Ah, worked. It worked a little bit different than expected, but my photos are restored.
For those who want to restore them:
1) Go to the edit page post (not the image library!)
2) Click on the broken image
3) Click on the pencil
4) Click on replace
5) Upload/drag&drop all photos of this post (so you don’t have to do them one by one, just post by…[Read more]

Hi and welcome @thelastdodo – Thanks for your input, I took a look at the Boulder link, looks like a nice place. Would love to visit Colorado some time. @peter and I are on the East Coast.
If you like you can always add those two places to Tea Planet. We built that site some time ago but tend to forget about it until another new listing is added…[Read more] -

Nice, interesting post, something @xavier, @bram, @lazyliteratus might especially enjoy. Thanks for sharing your review with us, we’ll be looking into this now, curiosity is peaked.
In addition to moving the site to the new server, I’ve also made a number of other changes to accelerate the speed of the network. Tea Trade itself, as a whole, has now doubled in speed. The blogs, in most cases, should be loading near instantly. The major exception is the ads. Once I get my next payout, which should take a few months I’m going to…[Read more]
@lazyliteratus I also found a possible workaround solution for your domain name and blog. I tested it out with the old Leafbox tea site yesterday and it seems to work okay. I’ve implemented the same method on your domain name, but because of how the internet works it takes about 24 hours for domain name changes to fully take hold. I will know more…[Read more]
Hey @peter, domain redirects seem to be working fine. “http” works fine for steep stories links, but not “https”, but that doesn’t bother me. All seems good so far.
Thanks for your diligent work as always.
I should soon test it 😛
