Still reading “Ces Messieurs de Saint Malo” but so far, they didn’t really sail to the Indies or drink tea (but they have shares in the French East India Company).
Sounds intriguing but I know nothing about this book – what’s it about? And what does “so far” mean? They won’t go to the Indies or drink tea at all, or they just haven’t got to it yet in the book?
It is the first book in a saga about a fictional family of sailors, ship-owners in Saint-Malo and at least in the first book, their destiny is linked to the Indies and the French East India Company (but they are involved in textile, fish trades and privateering).
And so far means I didn’t read all the book yet.
