I haven’t been to Rize, but have traveled to Turkey.
All the places that I traveled to seemed pretty safe, and I drank a lot of Turkish black tea : )
Turkey is very advanced and has a strong economy. Another story would be traveling to Morocco or the like.

Beware of the tea ceremony scam in China – http://www.cafetearteblog.es/2014/06/la-estafa-de-la-ceremonia-del-te/ (in Spanish)
Also found a link in English from trip advisor: http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g294211-i642-k4835748-Tea_Ceremony_Scam_Shanghai-China.html-
Wow, that would make me think twice about going to a tea ceremony in Shanghai. I’d probably decline now. Not being able to speak or read the language would make fighting this scam extremely hard. Thanks for sharing @riccaicedo. I read both articles, just had the Spanish one translated.

Thanks for the tip. If I go to Shanghai, I will ask a trusted local to help me.

I’ve been running an online tea store for a little longer than a month, http://www.kyusuteas.com (it’s in Spanish).
Although I have many followers on Facebook, still very few sales (mostly offline) and even harder to convince people to come to the tea tastings :p
Can anyone give me a rough estimate of how long does it take for things to speed up? And…[Read more]

Thanks for the great article.
I can’t imagine why someone would add sugar to green tea (unless it’s a green tea latte). It mustn’t taste good on its own.
