Over-rated or not, Apocalypse Now and “the End” is quite unforgettable, so they did something right.

Is it an Oolong? I hope you’re enjoying “Riders on the Storm” while sipping through towards “the End”.
-
I bet the tea is better than the documentary. There are few bands more over-rated than The Doors…

@jackie It is a Feng Huang Dan Cong, ie an Oolong.
And @thedevotea, what do you mean by over-rated?

Have to work on something here that requires serious thinking! Ah, I keep on putting it off…more tea, another little nibble of something, quick comments here and there. Time to get onto to it now.

Sounds intriguing but I know nothing about this book – what’s it about? And what does “so far” mean? They won’t go to the Indies or drink tea at all, or they just haven’t got to it yet in the book?
-
It is the first book in a saga about a fictional family of sailors, ship-owners in Saint-Malo and at least in the first book, their destiny is linked to the Indies and the French East India Company (but they are involved in textile, fish trades and privateering).
And so far means I didn’t read all the book yet.

Slow morning here. Where is everyone? I admit I was watching the Olympics, both the amazing opening last night, and the cycling race this morning. Anyone else watching?

Hi everyone. Enjoyed a nice breakfast looking out onto boats – no tea, just iced water but the scenery was beautiful.

Drinking some truly amazing Margaret’s Hope – 2nd flush. As always Lochan Tea delights. Wonderful that @vlochan and @lochantea are members of Tea Trade.

What did you think of the movie? I think that a box of teabags is the correct tea to get the ambience just right.

I am sure @peter would love the subject!

Peter and I’ve had these teas too (I think). They are smoky and very Beasts of Brewdomy teas to my mind – and taste buds.Multo macho.

Wow. What a story. Not sure what’s really in the smiling Frenchman’s teas. They seem to take you on one heck of a crazy ride. Or was it the tipple or two or three you had before your trip down the darkest lane? […]

Baked a lemon bar cake. Next up bread I think. Such a brilliant way to heat a cold kitchen. Except of course, that it’s summer and my kitchen is boing hot.

It is one of my favorites as I think you know Robert. I have a particular weakness for your lady teas. Duchesses, ladies, princesses etc.
This tea is lovely, really lovely! Your pics make me miss it even more. -

My large cup of tea always accompanies me while I read up on the news. I start here, move over to other sites, then finally the good old newspaper in print!
