I give up. Snow’s never going to come, is it? Is there even such a thing? We had a 90% forecast for the lovely flakes but this morning there is no sign of anything. Rumor has it there was a little overnight. Ha. I’m going to have my cup of tea and sulk.

@bram Not sure who the “other shop” was, or if it was on here? Anyway, as soon as I’m up and running in the mornings – with a cup of tea – I check what’s going on here and “spam” anyone who slipped through overnight. Sometimes I take an attitude of “let’s wait and see” if it’s a one time slip up. Sometimes it’s a 5 times slip-up, so they’re out.

I posted it after the long list of spamposts. Just felt like doing so. 😉 And another shop was meant as adding it to a lost of bad shops not that there was another spammer recently.

Hi – how is everyone doing this flu season? I know some of you have been knocked out by the virus. Hope you recover soon. Sadly I guess this proves that tea doesn’t prevent all ill. On the other hand, who knows how bad it would’ve been if you hadn’t been drinking tea. If in doubt, have another cup. I will do now.

1 lb of flour
2 oz cold butter diced
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 pinch of salt
2 oz brown sugar (or white)
1 1/4 cups buttermilk
2 tablespoons milk (I used whipping cream)
Medium sweet chocolate, cut into small pieces. I baked half of the scones with no chocolate, the other half with. I didn’t use much chocolate, 1/3 of a bar. You can of…[Read more] -

The proof is in the scones. Made these buttermilk and chocolates ones and had them with a nice pot of tea.
