  • I thought this was interesting, especially since I’m always interested in tea cultures in other countries and we don’t get a lot of info on Turkey.Turkish Tea Tasters <– Link to article

Am going to look into blog commenting, and why some posts just take off. Either way it’s important to link to your Tea Trade blog to get the word out. Don’t want anyone to miss your articles.

The Chat function is off at the moment, Pete is tinkering with things. Looking forward to getting it back.

Spent the morning reading interesting online articles, I”m always on the lookout for things to post on here. You’ll see a couple come up later. Hope everyone is having a good Sunday.

  • “Nicolas Jolly” aka Vic Darkwood – mentioned not only here but also on the Beasts of Brewdom blog. http://beastsofbrewdom.teatra.de/2011/09/16/another-beast-lurks/ Clearly a figure we need to watch, if Robert talks about him. Can’t wait for you to meet in London one day and hear about your joint adventures. As to the women petitioning for the King […]

Yanko Design once again and sadly not for sale. Still, worth a look.

    • That is a beautiful design. From an engineering standpoint, I’m thinking that something like this could certainly be manufactured. No doubt it would be pricey, but it is elegant and functional – two things that make for great design.

@lahikmajoe George is still around. @jopj: He’s @indonique on twitter and tweets very occasionally. Last time was three weeks ago or so. He mentioned a possible come-back this fall, I hope so! Here’s a short vid @teapages made, it’s a promotional video for her book but it mentions George’s New Orleans story too.…[Read more]

  • Mr Darkwood and I aren’t acquainted although I know of him through you. I looked at his artwork online the other day. What an astounding mind must be driving his talent. Anyway, not familiar with Jean and her similarities to a banana, I did a little research, and discovered amongst other attributes all three sport […]

Same here! I’m still up drinking Oolong which – in hindsight – will probably be a mistake.

I’ve added more tea bloggers to my list of those who posted about World Tea East. Thanks also @jopj for your input. Here again the link to it on the forum: http://lfbx.us/fwteb

Must dash, but I’ve talked about you all already on twitter! Enjoyed all the fine blogs. Hope you do the same.

@lazyliteratus – just jumping in quickly, identifying age and growing region wouldn’t be so hard with quite a few teas. A black Darjeeling, you’ll recognize that one over a Ceylon right? So that growing region’s not too hard. And you’ll probably be able to tell that it’s 2011 not 2010. You might even be able to […]

Never occurred to me a tea bag might benefit from being suspended precisely in the center.

I love it when we all get chatting. Especially spurned on by a good blog post. Thanks @jopj @thedevotea and @lahikmajoe for making my morning fun.

I have the hard task to plucking off almost all the leaves and the sweet little buds on my tea twig. Seems so utterly cruel! Thing is, I want to try and propagate.
