The Pu’er region in China’s Yunnan Province and Libourne, a small French town in wine county Bordeaux have reached an agreement to promote each others’ famous products. A Maison du Vin will open in Pu’er City to showcase Bordeaux’s famous wines, and a salon de thé will display a range range of Pu’er teas during the June 2013 Vinexpo in Bordeaux. Libourne’s mayor and several Bordeaux wine syndicate presidents have already visited Yunnan province for lessons in tea culture and two Chinese delegations have taken a tour of Libourne and its environs.
