  • Good luck. You did find something since this post didn’t you?

  • Hmmm, “Blabarssmak” sounds like “blubbersmaak” which is Dutch for “Mud taste”…

  • IKEA teas? You open the package, make tea and when you are almost finished you discover that the tea is missing?

And you do not know where that leftover stuff is for…

I’ll remember that. But I’m not much in Paris. Was there for 2 weeks last year and that was the first time in more than ten years. But I have a feeling that I want to go back to visit all those closed tea shops (it was August)…

Hmmm, one of the tea-shops I missed last year. Sounds good.

    • It is but I only knew it because Guillaume Leleu told me about it and the blog La Théière Nomade spoke a bit about it.
But I think it is in the new book about tea in French.

By the way @bram next time you go to Paris, PM me before.
If I am available, I might come (I am only 1h30 away from Paris by TGV).

Lucky you. Which one of the many will it be?

    • How nice. Not just the teashop but Paris! I suppose the shops will already be all decorated with Christmas lights and displays.

      • @jackie I don’t really know since I had one precise target before having to catch my night train to HH.
I went to the original Theodor teashop in the 16th arrondissement not “far” from the Eiffel Tower.
It is small but has a nice feeling with “old” mosaics on the top.
Before Theodor started there, it was a grocery and I have heard that it is a…[Read more]

        • What tea did you buy for yourself @xavier? Your visit sounded really nice. And now HH. Big change. J’avoue que je préfère Paris.

          • I won’t comment on that one.
For myself? Saïgon but mostly because the tea cans were the old ones and were really nice (simple and adventurous).

*If the label is fake, you can be sold anything. The website of the label usually provides some information on which companies have acquired the right to carry the label.

*I buy so many different teas at so many places that limiting myself to organic would limit my options. However I do find it a pre and I do like it when people/shops/restaurants that buy in “bulk” pay serious […]

  • *Is the trend good? Or is there a new bubble rising that is going to explode in the future, leaving tea at the loosing end. (yes multiple puns intended)

People like @Thedevotea should skip this post to prevent health issues. People that can manage to see teabags and live can take a look at the link or not.

It is a small magazine of some teabag collectors. With a lot of different ehh teabags. Unfortunately the site needs some technical repairs before you can see pictures of the owners collection…[Read more]

    • I nearly missed this @bram. This is one incredible “bag lady.” 46,000 teabags is a massive collection. The pics are cool – wonder if there are collectors over here too. I must browse there more – I guess some of it will have historic significance too. Thanks for sharing. What a find!

    • aaaarrggghhhhhh!

  • You’ll get there, wherever that is. Here or at the other side of the looking glass. And I see you hired a ghost writer. 😉

  • Waiting in line for hours? Sounds medieval to me. And I thought that voting in a large medieval church, once symbol of a religious “guided” system, now just a beautiful building was medieval. But in the last […]
