Even at times when they specify a type of tea it’s mainly juice and sugar 🙁 I tried the Ito En Sencha Shot, but to be fair I am not a sencha fan.

I think there must be a rule that you must disclose the percentage of juice contained in a juice drink, I always see contains 23% juice, contains 100% juice. I wish there was a rule for this on bottled / ready to drink teas. All too often there is more fruit juice than tea, or […]

I ran into revolution tea first at a restaurant, and began hoarding them when i went to other restaurants, until i found them in the local grocery – i do like their teas and loved meeting them at WTE

hmm, I thought i clicked send Anyway ~2001 grocery stores started to have more than just CTC. There started to be full leaf teas available at more places. I believe education, on the part of the tea industry (including Teavana) started to make customers realize there was more than bags of black tea. I think […]

In 2001 I started to notice more tea shops open up. Pre-2001 the local grocery store had CTC teas, a selection of tehm, but no loose leaf. You had to go to tea shops for nice tea. Now, I can go to a grocery store and get full leaf in sachet, and in some cases […]

Ah a dangerous topic, Teavana. Many people hate them, for the special teas fiasco, for the over-flavored teas, for the pushy sales people. Other people, myself included, see them as the gateway tea. Tea for me started as an item in a paper bag, on a string, with a staple. My mother drank twinings earl […]

My cupboard is full of teas which are languishing for lack of attention. My solution – try all of them, at least one cup, then sell them off! My tea habit has me desiring to try every tea I can, then move on to the next, resulting in teas that come in larger than sample size […]

They were really cool at WTE. We don’t have their tea here in our grocery stores, but now that I can get it at PF Changs its all good.
