Here’s more on Australia’s tea growing region North Queensland. Nerada tea factory and its 318 hectare garden produce around 1.5 million kg of pesticide free tea. That’s well over 3 million lbs. Did you know it’s peak harvesting season there? Picking takes place 24/7 at the moment bringing in between 600-800 kg of tea per week. Read the article to find out why the teas don’t require chemicals to deter bugs, and why this tea isn’t exported:

This is an older post but I found it while looking for something else in the forum. I just wondered if any Australians like @verity @kasia @thedevotea have heard of this tea growing region in North Queensland?

Nerada is available in supermarkets here. Quite well known indeed.
