Thumbnail This tea smelt of a very pungent potpourri. It was not a very pleasant scent, though it smelled as it was named – of citrus and oolong tea. The leaves looked fairly appealing and I was, as always, excited to try this tea. Anything with citrus really entices me! This tea is a very light black tea. [...]

ThumbnailWorth noting before beginning this, I got a new sort of honey I’ve been dying to use. This is the first tea I felt would do well with this honey. It’s a wild flower honey, which has a sort of… spicier flavor than the average honey. In short, it’s delicious! I used this honey in Shanti Tea’s [...]

ThumbnailWe made reservations, though it didn’t seem like we necessarily needed to. I got the three course tea service, which came with a pot of tea, sorbet, a scone, and four tea sandwiches. My friend Shaunna and I actually shared the same tea (Mademoiselle Gray), and it seemed like our pot was bottomless. The sorbet was strawberry, and [...]

ThumbnailLet me begin with saying that this review is incredibly overdue. I have been drinking this tea over the past few weeks, pacing and rationing to make it last. It is my favorite tea I’ve gotten to taste thus far in the adventures of Tea-rrific. It’s also important to note that I’m not sure what makes this [...]

This premium herbal tea is made from the dried calix of the hibiscus flower. High in vitamin C and caffeine-free, the liquor has an astonishing candy-apple red color with an intense, fruity, sweet and sour flavor.*

When first steeping, this tea looked like a massacre in my cup. The water remained mostly clear with a puddle of [...]

Premium Chinese Green Tea blended with the refreshing combination of Lemon and Lime

I love citrus anything so if you don’t, skip this review! Grapefruit juice, key lime pie, lemon curd, lemonade, orange sherbet… I grew up on the stuff in Florida, with orange trees in the yard and kumquats around the patio. So, any tea infused with [...]

ThumbnailThis shirt made me laugh, though I prefer to think of tea as more gentlemanly than coffee, not gayer! I have to say, if you sit and listen to the ridiculous orders in a Starbucks for fancy “coffee” beverages, they sound infinitely gayer than any tea drink I’ve heard ordered! You can buy it here [...]

I received my package from DavidsTea and was SO EXCITED! Hell, I’m still excited. There was so much included in the package, I just didn’t even know where to start! The samples they provided? The stuff I ordered? The teas meant to be iced, or the hot teas? Not to mention the huge amounts of tea, [...]

ThumbnailThe smell is unlike anything I’ve smelled before from a tea. It makes me think of Christmas, with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg, undertones of chocolate… delicious! Although almost offputting as a tea by scent alone, for some strange reason. I also made chocolate strawberries to go with this tea. The flavor of the tea is just like [...]

This tea is delicious, though borderline overly-blended. The black tea is nearly lost behind the herbal blend. Not to say the herbal blend isn’t delicious, but it makes the tea almost taste… produced? Fake? I’m not sure what I’m looking for here. On the other hand, I really like this tea because I can brew a huge [...]

Hah! That’s a little funny, since I actually hate how it looks. It has great reviews and comes highly recommended by a friend, so I’ll just deal with its ”modern” feel.

Chinese Black Tea enhanced with fragrant Asian Ginger and the sweet essence of Peach and Apricot

As per the instructions, I brewed this with boiling water (from my Keurig.) I let it steep about 3 minutes even though 3-5 are recommended; it smells so sweet and fragrant, I was worried it was going to oversteep! I used [...]

I love the nautical theme though, and everything going on near the teacup. I just wish the clouds were wispier. That being said, I can’t resist posting an awesome tea product here! It can [...]

Ok! We are about to begin our 52 Teas project. I actually obtained even MORE teas this weekend, outside of my awesome shipment from the Boston Tea Co. (which arrived on Friday and I am so anxious to brew.) I had to travel out of town, and never made it to any tea shops. Nevertheless, I had some [...]
