It’s been a while. Been busy with my art and working as an online retailer. In the meantime I’ve gone caffeine free so most of my tea drinking has been herbal blends particularly rooibos. At first I didn’t know what I was going to do since I had become so used to drinking green & oolong tea. I thought making the switch was going to be difficult and flavorless. But I’ve been quite surprised. There are quite a few delicious herbal blends out there. Right now I’m stuck on the blends offered by The Republic of Tea. It’s nice being able to still have my morning tea without feeling dependent on caffeine to get through the day.

Did you have to go caffeine-free for health reasons, or what motivated you to go caffeine free?
Also @myteatoday – your update reminded me of @lahikmajoe’s recent post: ”Tasty tea goodness without the jolt of caffeine” http://lahikmajoe.com/2012/04/17/tasty-tea-goodness-without-the-jolt-of-caffeine/
I decided to go caffeine for long term health reasons. I noticed that I was drinking tea more so for the caffeine then the actual enjoyment of it. Then I did a little research on the effects of long term use of caffeine on the adrenal gland which was the final deciding factor in giving up caffeinated tea. The first four days was a struggle. I had headaches and felt fatigued but I got through it. I’ve also cut out refined sugar & carbs from my diet and I have to say I haven’t felt this good physically and emotionally since my early 20s.
