My life as a tea drinker
| About Me | I grew up with teabags, and milk and sugar – all of which I still enjoy. I was introduced to loose tea and tisanes many years ago, through my grandmother's small tea house, with the sense that loose tea was somehow better (but I wasn't sure why). I've been hunting for a good way to use loose black tea on a daily basis – I haven't been happy with the infusers I've used so far. I was introduced to 'serious tea' – Chinese, Japanese green/white teas and pu-erh – by a friend of mine, and immediately appreciated it. The zen qualities of the ceremonial aspects are something I particularly enjoy, and the delicate flavours are so much more interesting than teabags. (thank you captain obvious?) So I shall bravely venture forward into the world of tea, and share what I learn. Yay for tea! |
