check them all But I’d say the order usually goes: Blog, Notifications, Front Page, Activity. The forum topics recently posted in is also rather handy… πŸ™‚

Haha I’ve got a reputation for being a tea head so a lot of my mates dismiss me offering tea out of hand. Mind you, if they run out of bags they’re not above stealing the good stuff, so maybe some of it’s rubbing off!

Really enjoyed that. Personally I’ve always tried not to become snobbish about tea, it’s good to hear that many tea drinkers feel the same! πŸ™‚

*MY tea sin? Impatience. I’m one of those people who, as soon as the cup or teapot is filled, enters a kind of dream world were 30 seconds stretches to half an hour. A full leaf tea that takes almost 5 minutes to steep? That’s like torture for me! Of course all that changes with some of the more temperamental greens. Then I turn away for a second and suddenly my delicious green has turned into undrinkable bitter slop. Stupid time perception. When will they find a cure for it?

Personally I like having comments made on the blog as “pending” first. There’s so many spammers out there! Although I must admit I do like it when my comments on others blogs go up straight away. I think the system we’ve got on here (I assume it’s the same for everyone) where you only have to approve someone’s first comment is probably the best and easiest way to deal with it. That way I can keep the blog spam free without having to worry about any of the regular people who comment getting lost…

*Meant to say this earlier but thanks for posting this up. If there’s one thing that I get confused about with tea (alright, one of many things) it’s the estates where it’s grown. If anyone can get a complete list that would be awesome, not just for Darjeeling, but any of the Indian black teas (at least the main estates). Would be a great help to me if no one else… πŸ™‚

To start with the hardest part for me was finding my “voice”. I had an idea of what I wanted to do with the blog but I was kind flailing around writing any old thing tea related. I’ve got a bit more of a structure to it now, which definitely makes things easier.

I know what people mean about having difficulty with being creative. Even with my current structure I still have a couple of days where I can freestyle it, I can end up staring at my computer for a while before I actually get anything done. I won’t lie, using ideas from the forum is really handy when I’m feeling uninspired (as my rambling posts on Saturdays will testify). I do enjoy being creative though, so it’s not normally long before I think of  *something*… πŸ™‚

No suprises from me. It’s music. Nothing like having a cup of Assam with some Funk or Hip Hop to get me in the mood for a day. The first one is always the best…

@minrivertea Haha sounds about right for Brighton. I live up by Fiveways, right at the top of a bloody hill. We’ve got far to many of those. I’ll defo be trying that Old Iron sounds tasty, I’m not as big of a fan of the green Oolongs although I see it as not having found one I like yet. Look forward t trying them!

I believe The Devotea http://www.the-devotea.com is starting his UK website very shortly. Some pretty unusual and interesting blends there – well worth a look at the Australian site even if it’s just for his sense of humour!

I noticed that, I’m quite excited. I’ll check out the Australian site a bit more now in preperation… πŸ™‚

I heard that about theanine as well, I can believe it. I work till about 10:00pm, drinking tea all the way and I’m still asleep by 12. My life must seem so interesting, at least there’s loads of tea involved… πŸ™‚

@dinahsaur Tell me about it, they don’t put it in the books “If you’re getting into tea be prepared to lose at least one cupboard to it. Minimum” πŸ™‚

Definitely more Fantasy than horror. As you say I was never a massive fan of his horror stuff, but I got given it as a present and it’s really suprised me…

In the beginning over on Steepster I did a bit. Mostly because I was very conscious of the risk of flaunting my own ignorance with some sort of stupid, wrong statement.

I totally agree with this. As a newbie myself I’m not ashamed to admit there are a fair few blogs I’ll read with Wikipedia open in the background, so someone having more knowledge doesn’t bother me. I get more worried about posting stuff on my own blog (www.hiphopteashop.blogspot.co.uk if you want a shameless plug) , especially with tea reviews. I always feel like I’m cheating slightly. But I always like to think it’s more about your passion for the subject than how much you actually know…

If you like Fantasy have you tried Stephen King’s Dark Tower series? It’s kind of a fantasy western. I’ve got rather sucked into it recently…
