So, here’s my Saturday: ordered tea from two places despite not really having money, hung out with my friend while he beat Mega Man X for the hundredth time, then watched videos of Pacific Parrotlets and decided that I want one. Whew, it was a whirlwind. All fueled by 5 infusions of Himalayan Spring Evergreen

Sounds like you quite like the Himalayan now? Which one was it, you didn’t like at first? Also curious what teas you ordered?
No, I always liked the Himalayan. It was the Goomtee Spring Green I wasn’t crazy about, but that tea is quite nice. I ordered the Doke Thunder Oolong and some Jun Chiyabari Himalayan Summer from Rare Tea Republic, and some sencha from Mellow Monk. Was gonna order from Lochan but the shipping was outrageous.
How much was the shipping for how much tea?
The shipping was 30 some dollars for about 13 dollars worth of tea. RTR has a bit of a markup (understandable) but the shipping is a flat 9.60ish for every order.
I’m going to ask them about that. Maybe things have changed but shipping was nowhere near that price when I last heard. I know you’re in Canada, but still. We’ll see what’s going on.
hi! when you are shopping from our website, i would suggest that you go ahead and choose the flat rate shipping option – the last option on the list.
we’ll throw in a few extra goodies to help even out the cost
Also, I remember why I thought you weren’t crazy about the stuff. It’s this old post of yours where you didn’t quite know what to make of it at the time: http://brandonteaclub.teatra.de/2012/06/02/himalayan-spring-evergreen-from-jun-chiyabari-estate-rare-tea-republic/
Ah yes! I was confused because it never occurred to me that it was a green tea despite the NAME ON THE LABEL. So I brewed it like a black and was befuddled. Ah, to be young and inattentive : P I love this tea now, one of my favourites.
